Some of you may remember the Anguis Aeturnus demo (Black Despondency) I put on here a long while back - this is the (vastly improved IMO) descendent from that.
The style has evolved from the keyboard-laden atmospheric black metal style of the Anguis Aeturnus releases, to a deeper, more progressive, and often more intense black metal with futuristic and industrial themes running through it.
Influences range from Moonsorrow to Nokturnal Mortum, from Summoning to Diabolical Masquerade, from Puissance to
Pain Of Salvation (trust me, it was ).
Lyrical themes are inspired heavily from cyberpunk and fantasy fiction authors, especially Robert Jordan, Isaac Asimov, China Mieville and Philip K. Dick.
I guess you could call this a concept album - the story being that some time in the not-too-distant future, humankind grew to the point where they virtually killed themselves off, and had to either adapt to their new world, or become extinct.
So spread the word, friends... and feedback is always appreciated!
